Allison, a much - loved teaching assistant, colleague and friend, sadly lost her battle with Cystic Fibrosis on the 12th March 2017.
She started her job at Wark C of E First School in 2006 and quickly became a popular and well respected member of staff.
As part of her role, Allison worked with all age groups and was loved by the children for her caring nature: helping them with their work, always being there to listen to them and sharing her sense of fun and enjoyment of life.
Allison devoted a lot of her spare time when not at work, looking for exciting and creative ideas to bring into school. Being a Teaching Assistant wasn't just a job, it was a passion and countless children, parents and staff will always be grateful to her for this.
Living with Cystic Fibrosis was never easy for Allison, but she didn't let it dominate her life. She was always happy and content in everything she did and a real inspiration to all of us because of this.
Allison was a true friend to everyone that was part of our school. something which is hard to find, difficult to leave and impossible to forget.
We will always be grateful to Allison for this, and greatly miss her smile and warmth. To help us to remember this special person we are going to plant a Cherry Blossom Tree in the school grounds as part of a service to remember Allison.
